Summer Of '13
Summer Of '13

Hello, here’s some more news about my forthcoming album and singles.

The first single “You & I” will be released on 7″ vinyl on the 16th April for Record Store Day and will feature 2 exclusive b-sides, “By Proxy Song” and “Narky (’13).

“You & I” is available on Spotify now, or you can get it as an immediate download when you pre-order the album from iTunes.

The second single “Steps” is also now available on Spotify, along with the b-side “Insects”. You can also get it as an immediate download when you pre-order the album from iTunes.

The album Summer Of ’13 will be coming out on Nude Records on the 27th May 2016.

The Pledge Music pre-order will run until then, after which normal versions of the album will be available on CD, vinyl, download and streaming.

The handwritten lyric books are sold out but you can still get the deluxe versions of the CD and vinyl which both come with the bonus acoustic album. I haven’t started writing the books yet, but rest assured that I’ll leave it until the last minute and pull an all-nighter.

All Pledge pre-orders will give you access to exclusive updates and news. This access also includes immediate download of an exclusive mix of the song “Information In The Voice”, and from today you can also download “You & I”.

I’ll be touring to promote the album and the first bunch of dates to be confirmed are:

07/05 Kirkcaldy, Adam Smith Theatre (acoustic)
25/05 Aberdeen, Lemon Tree
26/05 Dundee, Beat Generator Live
27/05 Glasgow, The Art School
28/05 Edinburgh, Electric Circus
31/05 Gateshead, Sage
01/06 Oxford, The Bullingdon
02/06 London, The Lexington (SOLD OUT)
03/06 Liverpool, Leaf
04/06 Manchester, Deaf Institute
11/06 Wakefield, Long Division Festival

Anyway, I’m really excited about this new album, so hopefully you’ll get something out of it too. I know these newsletters can get somewhat convoluted, it’s a reflection of the state of the music industry these days with all the formats etc. Pain in the arse. But at the heart of it is a collection of 10 songs that I’ve been working on for the past 5 years that I’m happy to be releasing as an album.

Cheers,

Malcolm
